BRIDAL & SMOKEY EYE WORKSHOP

Course Overview

This course runs on a Saturday monthly and is aimed at those with previous experience in makeup. The 1 day workshop focuses on specific techniques so students attending should be comfortable with foundation application and colour matching as well as correct use of brushes.

Beginners please refer to the Intensive Week course designed specifically for those with no previous makeup experience, but please contact us if you are unsure and require more information.

AM: We discuss the bridal consultation and how to get the most out of your client. To achieve the perfect bridal makeup you will need to look at your client for guidance. We go through the exact questions you will need to ask and how to reference your makeup in order to save time and have a successful trial. We also discuss the right products for your kit, how to pick colours and achieve different skin finishes.

We then demonstrate a bridal makeup which incorporates techniques for beautiful skin, shading and highlighting, a natural eyeliner and the perfect lip and individual/ strip eyelashes. We discuss the importance of eye shapes and show examples of eyeshadow application to suit these. Students are also taught how to build up a natural bridal look to add definition and colour and easy ways to correct mistakes. Each student will then be given a brief to practise on each other.

PM: Students are shown a smokey eye demo including a classic smokey eye, then building this up to more dramatic editorial looks. We go through the layering of textures and show you how to achieve smokey looks with confidence. Students then practice on each other.
