MAC cream colour bases are big big favourites of ours. Use on eyes lips and cheeks, you can wear them under powder for a really intense smokey eye or alone for sexy glossiness. These are a MUST have for your kit!

Shu Uemura is THE false eyelash destination. We have been loyal fans for years and lose our minds slightly when visiting the Covent Garden boutique!
The Makeup School ADORES these lashes. So easy to apply, they simply enhance your natural lashline, draw out the eye but look utterly natural and feel weightless. The Shu Uemura eyelash glue is fab too....
The technical name for these is "partial soft cross false lash". Get your mitts on them before Stasie depletes the stock (again).

Yess! I can finally stop scraping the barrel of my convertible colour in peony as Stila is now back in the UK! The lipglaze in watermelon was a staple of mine for years but seriously NOTHING beats the convertible colours for that juicy, dewy, barely there but build it up tint for eyes cheeks and lips...

I took a 2 day intensive class and I learned so much at The Makeup School.
My experience was a fun and very enjoyable time. Learning the basics all the way through high fashion make-up was such a wonderful learning experience, especially with Jacqui and Anastasia as the instructors, They are very knowledgable and love make-up like no other. I believe that knowing the basics is the pathway to success and learning the more difficult techniques, and The Makeup School will give you that fundamentals that you will need to be successful in the industry.

"As a new student you are not sure what to expect and will research all schools but I can say the Makeup School should be at the TOP OF YOUR LIST. I myself taught hair for years to a high standard so wanted the same back and got it.
No question was left unanswered. Anastasia and Jacqui gave 110% and it was one of the best courses I have been on. I not only felt right at home within minutes, they were also so approachable and I learnt so much, which believe me has already been passed on to friends.
Professional with a boutique image, love it and remember not all huge schools can offer the personal approach that the Makeup School can and the ultimate attention and advice you get.

I think I've just found THE ONE! After years of sunburn despite slathering myself in SPF 50 I decided to try out this little gem and no sunburn in sight! Just a luscious golden tan... Wohhoooo!! It works by using the skin's natural defences and enhancing them somehow to prevent burning .. Here's my cheekbone essentials:
Le Blanc de Chanel sheer illuminating base. I use this on the top of my cheeks or all over for a subtle highlight.
MAC sculpting powder in Sculpt (Prism also works well for paler skins, for warmer skin tones try NARS powder in Heat) .
Work this just under your cheekbone with a small contouring brush such as MAC 109. Blend softly into the temples and the crease of the eye just under the brow bone.
And voila! This is awesome for a non makeup, naturally stunning type thing.....

Saturday night was spent at the O2 Sensation white party, but no raving for us this time. Instead Jax and I spent the evening turning the hostesses into mermaids ! Jax is super clever and came up with some awesome time saving tricks (including hairspray and home made balaclavas... oh yeah!)

Well this time it's her making up the cast of TOWIE for a show broadcast later this year. Now Kirk wasn't present so we couldn't pass on our numbers but still according to Jax they were all oh so lovely!!

Jax worked some make up magic on behalf of the Makeupschool at the Mrs Jones Emporium. The look? "Lots of fine glitter on the eyelids, dewy cheekbones, and lashings of dolly mascara"
For those who haven't heard, Mrs Jones has dressed everyone in the music and fashion biz from Kylie, Rihanna to Kate Moss, Glodfrapp and the Scissor Sisters, there are just too many to mention. The boutique on Hackney road is filled with unique clothes pieces and items loved and selected by Mrs Jones herself which you can either hire or buy, truly breathtaking stuff!!!

Hello peeps!
So here we are, after a year's break travelling across continents and having babies we are back doing what we do best at a stunning new location FILMPLUS. Whether you are looking to pursue a career in make up, brush up on your existing skills or become a pro at doing your own eyeliner we offer lessons for everyone. Jax and I spent months researching make up courses schools across London. It was almost impossible to find one that was coherent, relevant and fun (without costing the earth). So we came up with a concept to teach in a way and in an environment in which we wish we had been taught, hence our small boutique style classes inside one of the coolest photo studios in town without costing the earth. And because summertime makes us deliriously happy we are taking 10% off all our summer courses!
